A piece of paradise located literally on the doorstep of the residential area of Seggiano…
The Garden of Daniel Spoerri is an open-air park-museum, created by the Swiss artist of internationally renown, one of the representatives of the Parisian movement “nouveau rèalisme”.

The 16 acre farm gives hospitality to sculptures created by Daniel Spoerri and other artists. The materials used include bronze, cast iron, marble, grass and many others. The works that are included in the garden are the finishing touch of the vegetation. They are disposed in an apparently casual way among meadows, trees and streams. They create an absolute fusion of art between nature and landscape.
In this way it’s possible to follow an artistic and a botanic path; the latter is made of trees and plants which are well described by signs that identify them.
To underline the close tie between the park and the area where it rises, a little olive tree of the Olivastra Seggianese type, a typical and unique product of Seggiano, is dedicated to each artist.

The visitor, who crosses the entrance gate and goes along the avenue planted with trees, is catapulted in a really unusual place, almost magical.

An exhaustive tour takes about 2-3 hours and with the help of a map will allow you to receive the essential information about the works found along the botanic and the artistic paths.
A little shop is located at the entrance of the garden and here you can find maps of the place, brochures, postcards and some little guides.
Local typical products, such as the wine, the olive oil and the jams, are also available.
