About Monte Amiata: At 1738m, in southern Tuscany, is situated Monte Amiata. The mountain is an extinct vulcan.It is a great place for a stroll in the sun. It is an ideal holiday place for everybody also for old people; here they can find easy paths suitable for their age with all the facilities.This place is full of paths, and by walking around you are most probably going to see different kinds of trees as chestnut-trees, beeches-wood and fir-trees.This area has some nature park that hosts many animals such as deers, horses etc.Here you can find different attractions all year round: in summer you can walk in refreshing air around countryside and in winter you can ski. Monte Amiata has 8 completely equipped ski sloper. This tour is for people who like nature and quite places.
Itinerary:
DAY 1:The meeting point is at the station in Lucca at 8.00 o’ clock am.A red bus will take you to Monte Amiata, where you will arrive at 11.00 o’ clock.You will go to the hotel and at about 13.00 o’ clock, you will have lunch in our hotel (included in the price) At 15.00 you will meet in the hall and we will go to visit the delightful garden of Daniel Spoerri. The name, “il Giardino” derives from its geographical position, and in an old map the place was called “Paradiso”.This park is very big and it is a typical italian garden where you can find 90 different sculptures.The park is full of chestnut woods, olive groves and you can follow different paths.In the park it is possibile to buy the garden’s map, postcards, and, if you want, typical products such as wine and olive oil as well.At 19.30 we will meet at the park’s entrance and we will go to eat at Roberto Rossi’s restaurant. It is only 2 kilometres away and we will eat typical products.At 21.00, we will return to our farmhouse.
DAY 2: We will meet at 9.00 o’clock am in the hotel’s hall.We are going to see the magneficient wildlife park.In this park you can find some species of animals such as deers, roes, chamois and mouflons, and if you are lucky, from a special roof terrace you can see the appennine wolves.Free lunch. At 17.00 we will meet by the entrance to return to the hotel.At 19.30, dinner.
DAY 3: Early start: at 8.00 o’clock am we will go to visit the beautiful “ Sentiero Natura”.This place offers different landscapes, so that in just few kilometres you can admire and recognize the various Tuscan areas. In the woods you can admire different trees as Corylus avellana, Ostrya carpinifolia, Quercus cerris and Prunus avium.You have to follow a path and along you will find signs with the name of plants and trees, so thar you can learn their names.Lunch at 13.00 and by 17.00 o’clock we will be back at the station of Lucca.

ITINERARY:
Day one: The group will meet at the station in Garfagnana at 9.00 o’clock am.A big and yellow bus will take you to Seggiano. You will arrive in our hotel at 12.00 o’clock and at 13.30, you will have lunch.At 16.00 o’clock, the meeting point is in the hall and we will go to visit the magnific church of Saint Bartolomeo. After this, we will come back to the hotel admiring during the way a very scenic landscape.Dinner will be at 20.00 o’clock.
2 Day: The group will meet after breakfast in the park hire. Our next stop will be the splendid Castle of Potentino, not far from the hotel and at 13.00 o’clock we will have lunch in the wonderful natural park of Seggiano where there is an equipped picnic area. Here, if yuo are lucky you can meet different kinds of animals.In the afternoon, we will admire another importan building: “the church of Saint Bernardino”. You will have dinner at 20.00 o’clock in a magnific farmhouse only two kilometres far from the hotel. Here a dinner with typical local products will be served.
3 Days: Early start: at 7.00 o’ clock am. We will go to see the beautiful “Oratorio di Saint Rocco” situated in a scenic landscape. The visit is about 2 hours and after we will visit another important building: “Madonna della Carità”.At 13.00 o’clock, we will have lunch in a magnific restaurant called “Fontanile”.In the afternoon, we will go to olive oil tasting in a beautiful place immersed in olive groves. After coming back to our hotel you will enjoy a free day for personal activities.The departure time is at 18.00 o’clock and we will arrive at the station of Garfagnana at about 20.00 o’ clock.

Brief for Monte Amiata – Territory General Tour – Deborah
Day 1:
The group will meet at our office parking at 6.00 a.m. A bus will take us to Monte Amiata Resorts, our accommodation for the week-end.At 10.00 o’clock we will go on the extinct volcano, the highest peak at 1.738 mt. over the sea level, to discover unspoiled nature in the sourrounding area.Free time and dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Day 2:
Early wake up to enjoy mountain biking in the nature reserve to admire many types of flora and fauna. At 10.00 relax for one hour and. At 11.00 “Discovering Wolf”.At 13.30 lunch in a typical restaurant in the little hill town of Seggiano.We will come back at 17 p.m. free time in the evening.A Taxi service is available.
Day 3:
In the morning we will visit “la Fattoria” tasting typical products as pecorino cheese, bread, oil olives, chestnuts, honey and many others delicatessen.By bus we will go along the wine trail to the charming town of Montalcino: enjoy yourself, drink good wine, and try Cinta Senese products!At 6.00 p.m. we will come back home.
